No I’m not going to Mardi Gras but I love the celebration and the colors. I’ve been on Curacao to celebrate Carnival and in the Big Easy to celebrate Mardi Gras in previous years. But this year I’m just home in little ole’ Fort Lauderdale!
But alas, with Valentine’s Day in just two more days, this one will come off tomorrow! Sigh

Anybody that knows me will tell you without a doubt that Halloween is and always has been my favorite holiday. My earliest memories of it were as a small child and my dad dressing up with me to take me trick-or-treating. When I got older we always had a party with cider, warm cinnamon donuts and apple dunking with my friends. One year we were visiting my grandparents and my mean boy cousins made me walk through a graveyard with them if I wanted to trick-or-treat. Even so, I will always cherish these memories.
Spider Funk is full of orange and red glitters and small irregular shaped black “spiders”, plus silver hex “full moons” that all stay shiny in the orange matte base. Wear on its own, layer over black, orange, burgundy or green, or with clear topcoat to bring out even more bling!

Every year Joe and I put on a benefit for Abandoned Pet Rescue, a no-kill animal shelter in our neighborhood. Next is Manhattan, a deep caramel/maroon shimmer with glass flecks; Shirley Temple, a cherry shimmer; Champagne Cocktail, a silver holo filled with multiple holo glitters; and Tequila Sunrise, a nearly nude color-changing from yellow to orange to red and filled with short holo tinsel. Yeah just call me a holo whore this time around!
